To participate in the Digital India revolution, BatchMaster Software organized an event on 4th of July 2015 at Kunti Mathur Sabhagrah, Indore under the aegis of Software and Technology Parks of India (STPI). The aim of the event was to show full support for this marvelous programme started under the leadership of our Honorable Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. Through this platform, BatchMaster made people aware about the Digital India initiative, its high-points, benefits and the challenges that will come in its way to success. The event was graced by:
- Mr. Peeyush Khare – GM, BSNL
- Prof. Sanjay Tanwani- Head, School Of Computer Science, DAVV
They enlightened the audience with a number of facts regarding Digital India that too in a very light-hearted way.
The event began with the lightening of lamps and the National Anthem. Mr. Sanjay Panjwani, MD, BatchMaster Software Pvt. Ltd., took the stage to welcome the guests and addressed the audience with the 15-points dream of Mr. Narendra Modi. He gave a complete insight into what this programme will actually deliver to the Indian citizens. He mentioned that the programme majorly focuses on three key areas:
- Infrastructure as a utility to every citizen
- Governance and services on demand
- Digital empowerment of citizens
The event was taken further by Prof. Sanjay Tanwani who shared what role universities will play in the ambitious sub-programme ‘eEducation’ of Digital India. He was of the belief that one should be keen and curious like a child to always learn new things. He informed about various courses offered by DAVV specially designed by a Stanford Professor which are mostly open and free. For the success of eEducation, he mentioned that eContent is being prepared on a large scale that will be available online.
The most interesting and engaging part of the event was knowing the massiveness of Digital India from Mr. Peeyush Khare. He shared how the people in rural areas are still leading a life that’s disconnected, full of challenges and far behind from us. To bring them at par with us, the Internet will be of the biggest help and to give them that, an optical fiber wire is to be installed in 2,00,000 km demography. Phew! Such a big number. Till now, around 8000 Gram Panchayats have been provided 100 Mbps of internet speed and they are really being benefitted from it.
The programme was a great success along with being enlightening plus engaging and encouraging one and all to do their share for the same. It was really amazing to know how through this umbrella programme,
comprising of 15 major initiatives, corruption will be eliminated. The divide between the rich and the poor will be bridged, and equality will be relished by all.
